Pnp-switchable semiconductor materials are capable of switching their electronic properties from p- to n-type conduction. Observed in the handful discovered compounds, this behavior is usually accompanied by a temperature-dependent phase transition. During transition, dynamical rearrangement certain substructure enables change predominant charge carrier type. Considering immense demand for compact and flexible components, one possible approach construction unconventional one-compound diodes using these pnp-switchable materials. In study, AgCuS applied realize functional diode. accessible large quantities as bulk material simple short timeframe. Featuring an addressable pnp-switch at 364 K, suitable diode generation usage varied applications. The devices reported illustrate its reversibility flexibility operation. fully characterized with regards electrical thermal properties, well performance.
