Pnp-switchable semiconductor materials are capable of switching their electronic properties from p- to n-type conduction. Observed in the handful discovered compounds, this behavior is usually accompanied by a temperature-dependent phase transition. During transition, dynamical rearrangement certain substructure enables change predominant charge carrier type. Considering immense demand for compact and flexible components, one possible approach construction unconventional one-compound diodes using these pnp-switchable materials. In study, AgCuS applied realize functional diode. accessible large quantities as bulk material simple short timeframe. Featuring an addressable pnp-switch at 364 K, suitable diode generation usage varied applications. The devices reported illustrate its reversibility flexibility operation. fully characterized with regards electrical thermal properties, well performance. Properties discussed relation Ag18Cu3Te11Cl3, which successfully used fabricate first operating close room temperature.
